AM man arrested in prostitution sting

An Anna Maria man was arrested June 9 in connection with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office anti-prostitution operation on 14th Street West in Bradenton.

Jeffery Lee Blasko, 46, faces a felony charge of deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution. A woman arrested in the incident, Danielle McCorkle, 30, identified as homeless in the arrest report, faces a misdemeanor charge of prostitution and a charge of contempt of court for violation of probation on a petit theft charge.

An MCSO report stated that an undercover detective saw a man and woman in the 3100 block of 14th Street West. The detective approached the man, identified in the report as Blasko, and said he was looking for a certain sexual act.

The woman, identified as McCorkle, said she was not interested, but Blasko allegedly exposed the woman’s privates and told the detective, “You give her $25” and the two would “split the money.”

The detective said the woman allegedly agreed to the exchange.

Both McCorkle and Blasko were arrested. They were transported to the Manatee County jail and released that day.
