• Sept. 11, Bayfront Park, public intoxication. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and Holmes Beach Police Department responded to calls from Bayfront Park, where two intoxicated men were causing a disturbance. The men were instructed to leave the park.
• Sept. 14, 200 block of Lakeview Drive, phone scam. A resident reported to the MCSO that she received a telephone call and someone said she had won a $6,000 grant that she could collect from Western Union if she paid a $1,200 fee.

Bradenton Beach
• Sept. 11, 300 block of Bay Drive South, obstruction. The Bradenton Beach Police Department arrested a man for obstructing a police officer without violence, a felony. A report stated that Matthew Edixon, no known address, was seen dragging a woman by her hair across a parking lot. A BBPD officer said the woman was unconscious when he arrived and Edixon was standing beside her. The officer alleged Edixon kept interfering while he tried to tend to the woman, so the man was arrested. The woman was taken to the hospital.

Holmes Beach
• Sept. 2, 5300 block of Gulf Drive, aggravated battery. The HBPD investigated a report of an aggravated battery involving multiple intoxicated people outside Martiniville.
• Sept. 8, 100 block of White Avenue, warrant. A 43-year-old Holmes Beach woman was arrested on warrant for a probation violation.
• Sept. 8, 3200 block of Sixth Avenue, vehicle burglary. The Holmes Beach Police Department took a report from a man who said his vehicle was burglarized and that someone removed prescription pain medicine and a credit card.
• Sept. 9, 6200 block of Marina Drive, residential burglary. The HBPD investigated a report of the theft of a new queen-size comforter from a garage.
• Sept. 9, 700 block of Manatee Avenue, larceny. The HBPD investigated the theft of a tailgate from a parked truck at the Kingfish Boat Ramp. The property was valued at $500.
• Sept. 11, 3700 block of East Bay Drive, driving without a license. The HBPD responded to an accident involving two motorists, one allegedly rear-ended another. The report stated that one motorist was arrested for driving without a license, a misdemeanor.
• Sept. 11, 4000 block of Gulf Drive, injured animal. The HBPD responded to a call about two injured squirrels, which were rescued by Wildlife Inc.
• Sept. 12, 3600 Gulf Drive, gas leak. The West Manatee Fire Rescue and HBPD responded to a gas leak, which required an evacuation of the building.
