Anna Maria
• Sept. 22, 300 block of Hardin Avenue, possible theft. The MCSO took a report that tools and a canoe were missing from a home under renovation. However, the complainant said sometimes a neighbor borrows the items.
• Sept. 24, 200 block of Gladiolus, petit theft. The MCSO reported that sometime between Sept. 21 and Sept. 24 someone took a television from a home. The report indicated that the complainant identified a suspect and thought the TV was pawned for drug money.
• Sept. 25, 800 block of Jacaranda, suspicious vehicle. The MCSO received a report of a vehicle parked in the driveway of an unoccupied home. The home was secure.
• Sept. 27, 100 block of South Bay Boulevard, burglary to vehicle. A woman who went fishing on the Anna Maria City Pier reported the theft of her purse from her parked vehicle.
• Sept. 28, 800 block of North Bay Boulevard, suspicious person. An MCSO deputy noticed an illegally parked car and wrote a ticket. Then the deputy noticed what appeared to be a small amount of marijuana on the center console of the parked vehicle.

Bradenton Beach
• Sept. 23, 100 Highland Avenue, burglary. BBPD arrested a man for allegedly breaking into an ex-girlfriend’s apartment. The report said the ex-girlfriend and a second person saw the man standing over them with a broken oar in his hands.
• Sept. 26, 2400 block of Avenue C, violation of probation. The MCSO arrested John Wallace, 26, for allegedly violating his probation, a felony.
Bradenton Beach is policed by the BBPD.
Cortez
• Sept. 24, 4500 block of 124th Street West, domestic disturbance. Two relatives were in a verbal argument and one broke a window with her purse. There were no charges filed.
Cortez is policed by the MCSO.
Holmes Beach
• Sept. 22, 400 block of 62nd Street, domestic battery. HBPD arrested a 35-year-old woman for misdemeanor domestic battery for allegedly striking a man with a piece of wood.
• Sept. 22, 3800 block of East Bay Drive, vandalism. The HBPD reported that someone “tagged” the elevator of a condominium.
• Sept. 24, 500 block of Key Royale, warrant. The HBPD arrested Andrew Garvin Larned, 50, of Sarasota, for driving while intoxicated and driving without a license. There also was an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Larned allegedly rear-ended a U.S. Postal Service truck, then provided a false name to the USPS driver before fleeing the scene. The USPS driver provided HBPD with the vehicle license plate, and Larned was stopped by BBPD.
• Sept. 25, 5400 block of Marina Drive, fight. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a fight outside D.Coy Ducks that left one man in critical condition. HBPD continues to investigate.
• Sept. 25, 6800 block of Palm Drive, burglary. The HBPD reported a burglary. Stolen items included a surfboard, chain saw and motorized skateboard.
