Anna Maria
• Oct. 25, 100 block of Hammock Road, theft. A resident reported the theft of a kayak, clothing, blank checks and a necklace.
• Oct. 25, 100 block of Magnolia Avenue, identity theft. A woman reported to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office that someone used her bank card to make unauthorized purchases totaling $287.
• Oct. 28, 100 block of Tern, information. The MCSO took a report that a juvenile shooting BBs at a target accidently hit a parked car. A deputy confiscated the guns.
• Nov. 1, 500 block of Pine Avenue, trespass. The MCSO issued a trespass warning to a man sitting outside a woman’s apartment.

Bradenton Beach
• Nov. 2, 900 block of Gulf Drive North, defrauding an innkeeper. The Bradenton Beach arrested a man for allegedly walking away from the Gulf Drive Cafe without paying an $81.99 bill for food and drinks. The man also was wanted in Sarasota County on warrants.
Bradenton Beach is policed by the BBPD.
Cortez
• Oct. 30, 4000 block of 119th Street West, battery. An MCSO incident report indicated that occupants of a vehicle punched a person who told them to slow down when driving through Cortez, and then returned an hour later with weapons. Cortez is policed by the MCSO.
Holmes Beach
• Oct. 27, 3900 block of East Bay Drive, theft. The Holmes Beach Police Department responded to a report that a man was selling a watch to another man, who went inside Publix with the merchandise but didn’t return with the money. The watch later was returned.
• Oct. 27, 3900 block of East Bay Drive, forgery. The HBPD responded to a call from Publix, where a woman allegedly attempted to cash a forged check. The store manager said he recognized the woman because she had made a prior attempt at forgery.
• Oct. 28, 3200 block of East Bay Drive, theft. The HBPD responded to a complaint from Solo’s Pizza, where a customer ordered $42 in food and left without paying. The customer, known to police and to the restaurant staff, was contacted and said he would pay.
• Oct. 29, 5400 Marina Drive, driving with suspended license. The HBPD arrested a Holmes Beach woman for driving with a suspended license. The officer had noticed the woman was having trouble getting the car to drive forward, and then was told by a bartender at a nearby bar the woman had been drinking. A records check found multiple suspensions.
• Oct. 30, 5400 block of Marina Drive, disturbance. The HBPD responded to a report of a disturbance at D.Coy Ducks. A man was found on the sidewalk suffering cuts on his head following a fight. The injured man was identified as a troublemaker and issued a trespass warning.
• Nov. 1, 3000 block of Avenue C, theft. The HBPD investigated the theft of water hoses and a water valve at a city park.
