Anna Maria
• Dec. 28, 100 S. Bay Blvd., Anna Maria City Pier, theft. A bicycle left unsecured for approximately one hour at the pier was reported stolen.
• Dec. 31, 101 S. Bay Blvd., Two Sides of Nature, theft. The clerk reported an item valued at less than $4 belonging to her had been stolen.
• Jan. 1, 100 block of Palm Avenue, found property. A beachgoer turned in a pair of prescription glasses found in the sand.
• Jan. 3, 400 Magnolia Ave., assist other agency. Deputies responded to a home where a woman was reported to be having seizures. They awaited emergency medical services, which provided transportation to Blake Medical Center.
• Jan. 4, 100 block of Cedar Avenue, domestic battery. A man and his wife got into a verbal argument that reportedly became physical when he grabbed and pushed her out of bed, causing her leg to bleed. Police arrested the man following his admissions.
• Jan. 5, 301 N. Bay Blvd., Bayfront Park, information. While on patrol a deputy noticed a sign had been painted over with a blue symbol. Public works employees responded to remove the paint.
• Jan. 5, 10010 Gulf Drive, The Egret’s Nest, information. Deputies were called to assist a man who came into the business appearing disoriented and having difficulty communicating.

Bradenton Beach
• Dec. 29, 402 Church Ave., Bradenton Beach Marina, battery and disorderly conduct. A business owner reported a man defecating in the hallway of the marina. Police stopped the suspect on the 12000 block of Cortez after a witness’s positive identification, and determined he was wanted on a Manatee County warrant for petit theft. Police arrested the man, who reported he was homeless, and took him to the Manatee County jail. A $1,090 bond was set.
• Dec 31, 1800-1900 block of Gulf Drive, no vehicle registration. A van with a license plate not matching state registration records was stopped by a patrol officer in the Coquina Park area. The driver told police that his son had put the license plate from another vehicle onto the van he was driving. Police had the vehicle towed, arrested the driver and took him to the Manatee County jail. A $120 bond was set.
•Dec. 31, 1325 Gulf Drive N., burglary to vehicle. A guest at the Tortuga Inn reported his vehicle was entered and rummaged through during the night. He did not notice anything taken. He told police he may have left his vehicle unlocked. Surveillance cameras were checked and a description of the alleged offender was provided to police.
Jan. 2, 200 Bridge St., trespass warning. The owner of Rotten Ralph’s reported an ex-employee started a verbal argument about his paycheck. A trespass warning was issued.

Holmes Beach
• Dec. 27, 600 block of Foxworth Lane, burglary to vehicle. A man reported his golf bag missing from the trunk of his rental car. He reported the golf set was worth approximately $1,500.
• Dec. 27, 600 block of Key Royale Drive, burglary to vehicle. A man told police his car was burglarized, and his wife’s wallet taken from the vehicle. Identification cards, bank debit and credit cards and $70 were reported missing.
• Dec. 27, 600 block of Ambassador Lane, burglary to vehicle. Police were initially called to the 600 block of Crestwood Lane because of a woman’s purse was reported lying in the roadway. Identification in the purse linked it to a residence on Ambassador Lane. When police contacted the resident, he said his vehicle had been burglarized during the night. Missing from his truck were his mother’s purse, a black laptop bag and Toshiba computer with a German keyboard and international wire transfer box.
• Dec. 30, 5308 of Marina Drive, Irene’s Resortwear, theft. A theft at the store was reported after a surveillance camera showed an alleged offender reaching around the counter to open a drawer. $80 was reported stolen.
• Dec. 30, 700 block of Manatee Avenue, burglary to vehicle. Police were dispatched to Kingfish Boat Ramp in reference to a possible burglary. Upon arriving at the scene, police found a blue car with a broken window. Police questioned two men who advised they were waiting for a friend to pick them up and did not know anything about the broken window.
• Dec. 31, 3700 block of Gulf Drive, felony aggravated battery. Thomas Duckworth, 24, was arrested after throwing a butter knife at a woman and pushing a playpen, causing a 9-month-old child to roll across the playpen. Police reported the incident to child protective services. Bond was set at $1,000. Duckworth posted bond and was released, pending a court date of Jan. 27.
