Aug. 27, 700 block of North Shore Drive, burglary. A suspect entered a residence sometime between Aug. 16 and Aug. 27 and took several items. There was no sign of forced entry. The scene was processed for evidence.
Sept. 3, 200 block of Gladiolus Street, burglary. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a call from a victim who said several items were taken from the home while they were away. Fingerprints were taken from the scene for processing.

Bradenton Beach
Aug. 29, 200 block of Gulf Drive North, warrant arrest. An off-duty Longboat Key police officer saw the suspect, who had an outstanding warrant for defrauding a pawnbroker. The LBK officer took the suspect to the Bradenton Beach Police Department, where he was turned over to the MCSO.
Aug. 30, 2500 block of Avenue C, domestic disturbance. A woman called BBPD when she became concerned her male partner might be suicidal. The man was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Aug. 31, 1200 block of Gulf Drive South, possession of paraphernalia. A BBPD officer on routine patrol of Coquina Beach noticed a subject smoking from a glass pipe. The smoker was arrested.
Aug. 31, 1800 block of Gulf Drive South, trespass warning. Two people were seen leaping from a lifeguard tower at Coquina Beach. As they leapt, one of the suspects was seen tossing an object, later identified as hand-sanitizer. Both suspects were intoxicated and had inmate release statuses. One had an out-of-state warrant, with no extradition. They were given trespass warnings.
Aug. 31, 200 Gulf Drive North, disturbance. Two people were engaged in an argument in the parking lot of Oma’s Pizza. Both parties appeared to be intoxicated, the report stated. A taxi was called and the pair left.
Sept. 1, 2600 block of Gulf Drive South, burglary/larceny. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a break-in of a parked vehicle at Coquina Beach. The suspect gained access by breaking the car’s door handle. Money and a gold chain were missing. Fingerprints were taken.
Sept. 1, 1600 block Gulf Drive South, property damage. BBPD responded to a vehicle that had slipped into the water after attempting to lower two PWCs into the water at the boat ramp. The vehicle was partially submerged and was towed out of the water.
Sept. 2, 500 block of Gulf Drive South, trespassing. BBPD responded to a report of a homeless man trespassing on private property. The man previously was warned about trespassing on the property. Trespassing charges were pending.
Sept. 4, 200 Bridge Street, misdemeanor battery. The victim was playing guitar while seated on the ropes on the moorings near the BridgeTender Inn restaurant when the suspect began yelling at the victim, threw a beer at him and then punched him in the face. The suspect fled to a nearby boat. He was removed from the boat by a U.S. Coast Guard officer and arrested by BBPD.

Holmes Beach
Aug. 31, 5000 block of Holmes Boulevard, domestic battery. A man and woman got into a dispute at their home. Allegedly the woman threw a cellphone, hitting the man in the forehead. The man walked to the Holmes Beach Police Department to report the incident. HBPD noticed a small laceration and dried blood on the man’s forehead. The woman was arrested.
