The Florida Department of Transportation repair of the Cortez Bridge continues, with the south sidewalk remaining closed. Pedestrians and cyclists are asked to use the north sidewalk.
Nighttime repairs are 9 p.m.-6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. A flagging operation will be in place when one lane is closed due to work on the bridge.
Work on this project includes general maintenance and repairs to the bridge span, beams, piling, seawall and bridge tender house, a DOT press release said.
The project will continue into late January.
The DOT also reported Florida Power & Light continues to replace power poles on Cortez Road/State Road 684 from 103rd Street West to 119th Street West in Cortez.
