Ho, Ho, Ho, matey!

The Anna Maria Island Privateers — left by a crash on U.S. 41 on Dec. 6 without their trademark boat/float — found a ride for their Dec. 13 parade from the DeSoto crewe and the Christmas parade went off without a hitch. The Privateers were in the lead of the island’s end-to-end parade, and Santa Claus, to the delight of young and old, brought up the rear on his way to a party and lunch with kids at Coquina Beach.
