Marjorie “Midge” Braun
Marjorie “Midge” Braun, 91, formerly of Holmes Beach, died Dec. 31.
She born Feb. 22, 1923, in New Milford, New Jersey, to the late Pierre and Alice Wilmarth.
She was a talented artist, and a dedicated member of the Anna Maria Island Art League.

She is survived by her children, Gayle Montgomery and husband Steven of Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey, James and his wife Valerie of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, Vanessa Scanlon and husband Thomas of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Bonnie Tillotson and husband Robert of Appomattox, Virginia; and four grandchildren, Bridgett Smith, Rachel, Kate Tillotson and Hannah Tillotson.
Grace Maxine Jenkins
Grace Maxine Jenkins, 74, of Cortez, died Dec. 28.
She was born July 17, 1940, in Waukegan, Illinois, to the late Max and Grace Pollock. She served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars.
She moved to Cortez more than 45 years ago, relocating from Fort Walton Beach, and worked for A.P. Bell Fish Co. as a bookkeeper for 15 years. She also worked for other local companies and served as a board member of the Florida Institute for Saltwater Heritage in Cortez.

She is survived by son Kenny and wife Anita of Cortez; grandchildren Maxine, Richard and Dalton; her faithful companion No Toes; and many extended family members and friends.
Helen M. Tufts
Helen M. Tufts, 83, of Largo, died Dec. 25. She was born in Summit, New Jersey, and moved to Largo in 1964 with her husband of 52 years, Mell.
She worked for more than 20 years at the Sheraton Sand Key gift shop and was a member of the Church of the Isles in Indian Rocks Beach. She was an active member of the Hannah Circle and enjoyed working in the church’s thrift shop and library.
A memorial service was held Jan. 3 at the Church of the Isles. Serenity Funeral Home of Largo was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Suncoast Hospice or the Church of the Isles Thrift Store.
She is survived by son Keith of Largo; daughter Karen and her husband, the Rev. Ed Moss, of Anna Maria; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
