Jan. 27, 9807 Gulf Drive, Ginny’s & Jane E’s at the Old IGA, trespass. A store owner requested a trespass warning issued to a man he believed drank coffee without paying. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy issued the trespass and escorted the man off the premises.
Jan. 29, 314 Pine Ave., Vinny and Cheryl’s Italian Kitchen, domestic disturbance. An MCSO deputy responded to a call about two people arguing. He observed no signs of physical violence and issued domestic pamphlets to both individuals.
Jan. 30, 100 block of South Bay Boulevard, lost property. A woman sat on a bench in Bayview Plaza, ate lunch and left her purse. When she returned about an hour later, she could not find the purse.
Feb. 1, 9800 block of Gulf Drive, lost property. A man reported he may have lost his wallet when a car door was opened.
Feb. 3, 300 block of Pine Avenue, motor vehicle theft. An owner of a 2001 Yamaha Vino scooter reported it stolen from his driveway overnight Feb. 2-Feb. 3.
Feb. 3, 100 block of Park Avenue, civil dispute. A homeowner reported a contractor used the owner’s excess wood that the contractor had been storing.
Feb. 3, 600 block of Jacaranda Road, theft. Rubber mats and a key were taken from a golf cart Feb. 2-Feb. 3.

Bradenton Beach
Feb. 9, 1200 block of Gulf Drive South, Cortez Beach, exposure and resisting arrest. A naked man who stood outside a business for 10 minutes crossed Gulf Drive in the 300 block and walked to the beach. After a Bradenton Beach police officer called to the man to stop, he first ran and then stopped. And when the officer tried to take the man into custody, the man resisted. He was arrested, booked and transported to jail.

Holmes Beach
Jan. 26, 600 block of Gladstone, battery and resisting arrest. An 86-year-old man was released from custody after fighting with and resisting police, firefighters and paramedics, according to several Holmes Beach police reports. West Manatee Fire Rescue firefighters told the HBPD they wanted to press charges. At press time for The Islander, a case has not been filed, according to the clerk of court records.
Jan. 26, 3900 E. Bay Drive, Publix Super Market, criminal mischief. A man reported his car had been keyed.
Jan. 27, 6200 block of Flotilla, trespass. Two men were issued trespass warnings for swimming in a pool in the Westbay Point and Moorings condominium complex. They left after telling police they thought the pool was for community use.
Jan. 28, 5400 block of Holmes Boulevard. Police stopped a 70-year-old Holmes Beach man after determining his vehicle was registered to an owner with a suspended license. The man was issued a summons to appear in court for the DWLS and a ticket for failure to provide insurance.
Jan. 30, 400 block of Sixth Avenue, battery. A 17-year-old was taken into custody on a charge of domestic battery after the victim threw what was believed to be drug paraphernalia off a balcony.
