A Holmes Beach general contractor accused of choking and restraining his girlfriend may be headed to trial at the end of June.
Richard Scott Eason, 29, was arrested in November after the alleged attack on the woman in their driveway on the 500 block of 74th Street, according to an HBPD officer’s probable cause report.
At a Feb. 18 case management conference, 12th Judicial Circuit Judge Diana L. Moreland set the June 29 trial period and approved Eason’s new attorney, Robert Herce of Tampa.
Eason faces one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief and three felony counts: domestic battery by strangulation; false imprisonment; and possession of a controlled substance.
A docket sounding is set for 10 a.m. June 17, and a trial period beginning 9 a.m. June 29 at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
