A man allegedly speeding through Cortez was arrested for driving under the influence.
Christopher Raymond, 48, of Webster, Pennsylvania, was arrested for driving under the influence and ticketed for speeding at about 1 a.m. March 10, according to the probable cause report filed by a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
Raymond was driving 50 in a 35-mph zone in the 9900 block of Cortez Road West before his arrest, according to the report.
The deputy reported the driver had glassy eyes, a flushed face and could not complete of the field sobriety tests due to a back injury.
Raymond failed the Breathalizer tests.
He was booked at the Manatee County jail. After this first appearance, he was released on a $500 bond.
His court arraignment is set for 8:25 a.m. Monday, April 13, at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
