A vehicle overturned multiple times May 8 before coming to rest in a Cortez driveway.
In connection with the crash, Glen Joseph Finken, 44, of Bradenton, was arrested for driving under the influence and operating a vehicle without a valid license, according to a Florida State Highway report.
A woman helped pull Finken from the vehicle and emergency medical services transported him to Blake Medical Center, according to the report.
When a state trooper arrived at 9:52 p.m., he observed a blue Chevy Camaro on its roof at 101st Street West and Cortez Road West and estimated the vehicle had traveled about 100 feet from the eastbound lane after colliding with a curb.
The trooper went to Blake and interviewed Finken. He reported his eyes bloodshot, face flushed, speech slurred and the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.
A blood sample taken from Finken shortly after the crash indicated his blood alcohol content was .220, according to the report.
The 12th Judicial Circuit Court prosecutor on May 17 filed formal charges against Finken.
He was booked at the Manatee County jail and released on $620 bond.
Finken’s court arraignment is set for Thursday, June 11, at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
