Jean Mae Rasmussen Kluge
Jean Mae Rasmussen Kluge, 91, of Bradenton and formerly of Anna Maria Island, died May 18.
She was born Jan. 29, 1924, in Warren, Pennsylvania, to Sam and Cecile Rasmussen.
During World War II, she left Pennsylvania and moved to Buffalo, New York, where she worked for Bell Aircraft and met Bob Kluge. After they married, she became involved in the League of Women Voters, the Maryland Legislature, Planned Parenthood and the Sierra Club. She was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party.
She and her husband lived in Severna Park, Maryland, Denver and Winter Park. After moving to Florida in 1957, she raised her four children and maintained an active social life.
She and her husband retired to Anna Maria Island in 1975. Mrs. Kluge resided on Anna Maria Island until moving to Bradenton in 2000.
In Florida, she managed the office of the Beach Castle Resort for many years, was a Realtor, a member of the Palma Sola Presbyterian Church, Longboat Key Garden Club and a fan of the Tampa Bay Rays. She painted with watercolors and made charcoal sketches.
Private services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Sierra Club.
She is survived by wife Martha of Bradenton; son John of Bradenton; daughter Janet Turnburke and husband Paul of Nederland, Colorado; son Robert and wife Charlotte of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Martha Lewis Speidel of Nokomis; and nieces Mimi Goodwill of Sarasota and Kathy Gnage of St. Petersburg.
Timothy Patrick Reidy
Timothy Patrick Reidy, 61, of Bradenton, died May 8.
He was born in Ballon, Ireland. He came to Manatee County with his wife Jacinta from Carlow, Ireland, in 1992.
He worked for Hurricane Hank’s Liquors.

Survivors include daughters Blair and Leah, both of Bradenton; brother Jimmy and sister Elizabeth of Carlow, Ireland, and brother Denis, of Adelaide, Australia.
George Arthur Sinclair Jr.
George Arthur Sinclair Jr., former owner of The Breakers Apartments in Bradenton Beach, died May 20.
He was born July 30, 1942, in Warsaw, New York, and moved to Anna Maria Island in 1971. He was a vital part of his community, serving on many city boards. He also was vice-president of the AIDS Council of Manatee and served on the board for six years. He served on the board for Tingley Memorial Library in Bradenton Beach.
He moved from Bradenton Beach to Hawthorne Park in Bradenton in 2003, where he served on the boards for Hawthorn Park and for the Palma Sola Botanical Park.

He is survived by spouse John P. Whidden III; sisters Sandy Smith of Bradenton and Linda Armstrong and husband David of Bradenton and North Stonington, Connecticut; nephew Steven and wife Angela of Geneseo, New York; niece Stacy Pryor of Bradenton; nephew David Armstrong of Bradenton; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jeffrey George Willey
Jeffrey George Willey, 72, of Bradenton and formerly of Anna Maria, died May 18.
He was born Dec. 5, 1942, in Malone, New York, to the late George and Irma (Kunzer) Willey.
He moved to Manatee County from Troy, New York, as a teenager.
He worked for the former Anna Maria Police Department, which was eliminated in 1981. He rose through the ranks to serve as the department’s chief of police.
He continued his career in law enforcement and public safety, serving with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, the Anna Maria Fire Rescue District and the West Manatee Fire Rescue Auxiliary.
He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Bradenton. He served as a lay Eucharistic visitor and sang in the choir.
