The Florida Department of Law Enforcement reports sex offenders reside in the following area locations as of June 19:
· A 35-year-old man in the 4400 block of 125 Street West, Cortez.
· A 53-year-old man in the 4200 block of 129th Street West, Cortez.
· A 33-year-old man in the 2500 block of Avenue C, Bradenton Beach.
· A 46-year-old man in the 2900 block of Avenue C, Holmes Beach.
· A 43-year-old man in 600 block of Dundee Lane, Holmes Beach.
Under Florida law, any convicted sex offender coming into the state must report their change of address to the FDLE immediately.
While FDLE updates its database, it does not provide alerts when the offender moves outside the area.
FDLE spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger said news releases include any person who comes to a Florida location “even for a few days.”
“By tomorrow they could be somewhere else,” she added.
