Multiple arrests for burglary suspect

A man who allegedly stole a carton of Marlboro cigarettes from a vehicle landed in jail, where he was arrested — again.

Justin J. Flynn, whose address is listed in court and police records as Bradenton Beach and Palm City, was arrested for burglary by the Holmes Beach Police Department in the early morning hours of July 24.

A witness told the HBPD he observed Flynn inside his family’s rental vehicle parked in the 200 block of 72nd Street and walking south on Gulf Drive with the cigarettes.

Police apprehended Flynn in the 200 block of 69th Street and transported him to Manatee County jail.

In jail, he was served with an arrest warrant for allegedly stealing a bicycle on Longboat Key in June, a felony grand theft, according to the12th Judicial Circuit Office of the State Attorney.

A misdemeanor trespass case also is pending against Flynn.

The trespass charge was filed May 16, after HBPD found Flynn floating in a swimming pool, with a bottle of alcohol nearby, at another person’s home on the 3100 block of Avenue E. Flynn told police he “was trying to get out of the rain.”

After the July arrests, the court assigned Flynn a public defender and set his bond at $15,000.

An Aug. 28 arraignment is set on the grand theft and burglary charges.

The next court date on Flynn’s trespass case is Aug. 11.

Court proceedings are held at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
