A Florida Highway Patrol report on an Oct. 13 crash in Bradenton that involved the wife of the mayor of Holmes Beach was in error.
Although two tickets were issued, as reported in the Oct. 21 edition of The Islander, according to a subsequent FHP crash report, the citation for driving on a suspended license was issued to the driver of the second vehicle in the accident — not Denise Johnson, Holmes Beach Mayor Bob Johnson’s wife.
Denise Johnson remained in the hospital at press time for The Islander.
