State drops Cortez truck repair case

The 12th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office dropped the case against a Cortez man accused of keeping a truck after repairing it.

An arrest warrant was served on Sader Kader in June after the filing of a complaint. Kader told the prosecutor he’d been sold the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.

The prosecution declined to formerly charge Kader after efforts to reach the alleged victim were unsuccessful, according to an Aug. 10 memo by Assistant State Attorney Matthew Davenport.
