Martin Dunlevy
Martin Dunlevy, 100, of Holmes Beach, died Oct. 17.
He was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Cong, County Mayo, Ireland, to the late Patrick and Mary (Kaney) Dunleavy.
He was an avid fisherman and proud member of the Local 1 NY Bricklayers Association.
He made his home in New York City and Atlantic City and he wintered in Florida, where he later made Holmes Beach his permanent home and attended St. Bernard Catholic Church.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 248 S. Harbor Drive, Holmes Beach, with internment to follow in the memorial garden at the church. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Moroz, her son, and four daughters, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Stephen George Gaunt
Stephen George Gaunt, 56, of Holmes Beach, died Oct. 21.
He was born March 10, 1959, in Canada.
He moved with his family to Florida as a child and was a lifelong resident of Manatee County. He graduated from Manatee High School in 1977.
He loved being on or near the water, fast cars, boats, softball, fishing, music and sports.
A celebration of life was held Oct. 30 in Holmes Beach.
He is survived by sister Katherine, brother Doug and wife Gayle and daughter Nicole.
Claudette M. Green
Claudette M. Green of Anna Maria Island died Oct. 12 after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 12, 1952, and originally was from Taunton, Massachusetts.
She lived and traveled all over the United States before moving in the 1980s to Anna Maria Island, where she settled.
She worked as a waitress and housekeeper in many restaurants and hotels in Bradenton and on Anna Maria Island.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Bayfront Park, 316 N. Bay Blvd., Anna Maria.
She is survived by sons James and wife Jeanie Chamberlain and Joey Gaston and girlfriend Lauren Hruda; and many grandchildren.
Billie M. Price
Billie M. Price of Sarasota died Oct. 22.
She was born Aug. 27, 1917, in Gillette, Arkansas, and grew up in the Memphis, Tennessee, area.
She lived in New York City for some 20 years.
She moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1963 and lived there until three years ago, when she moved to Sarasota.
She was active in many Fort Lauderdale social institutions, such as the Fort Lauderdale Yacht Club and the Florida Grand Opera.
She loved her family and her many friends. She also loved traveling, dancing and laughing.
Arrangements are by Jennings Funeral Home & Crematory in Sarasota.
Four husbands preceded her in death.
Survivors include son Lance Spotts of Holmes Beach; daughter Lori and husband John Stuckey of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania; grandsons Matt and wife Tiffany Stuckey, Andrew and wife Rosanne Stuckey and Kyle and wife Becky Stuckey; and great-grandsons Nathaniel, Joshua, William and Joseph Stuckey.
Eleanor Carlson Sauers
Eleanor Carlson Sauers, 89, of Sarasota and formerly of Holmes Beach, died Oct. 25.
She was born July 9, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York.
She graduated from St John’s University with honors and worked at Std. Eastern Oil in NYC (Exxon) 1951-71. She was a former member of the Fine Arts Society of Sarasota. She was a staunch supporter of Island Players and also contributed to Episcopal Church of Annunciation.
She will be laid to rest next to husband Larry in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Memorial donations may be made to The Sarasota Ballet, Southeastern Guide Dogs or The Alzheimer’s Association.
Survivors include stepdaughters Katherine Kehoe of Burke, Virginia, and Margaret Drysdale of Lords Valley, Pennsylvania; stepson Michel F. of St Petersburg and their families.
Clarence F. Scott
Clarence F. Scott, 89, of Bradenton, died Oct. 28.
He was born July 31, 1926, in Birmingham, Michigan, and moved to Bradenton in 1963.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, ELKS 1511 and the Anna Maria Moose Lodge and he attended Christ Episcopal Church.

He is survived by sons Larry and wife Linda of Anna Maria and Tom and wife Nancy of Valrico; daughters Cathy and husband David Kneeland and Mary and husband Mike Wilder, all of Bradenton; brother Leonard of Dryden, Michigan; sisters Ida Haimbaugh of Inverness and Patty and husband Ed Klug of Warsaw, Indiana; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
