A 51-year-old Bradenton man was arrested after police observed him cross the center line while driving south on Gulf Drive in Holmes Beach.
Holmes Beach Police Department arrested Tracy Thrall at 1:57 a.m. Dec. 9 in the 4000 block of Sixth Avenue.
During the traffic stop, Thrall told police he was heading home from a bar in Anna Maria where he had consumed about four drinks, according to an HBPD report.
Officer Alan Bores reported noticing an odor of alcohol on Thrall and he was allegedly unable to perform properly on field sobriety tests.
Thrall provided two breath samples, measuring 0.140 and 0.143, according to the report. The legal limit is 0.08.
Thrall was booked at the Manatee County jail, posted $500 and was released.
On Dec. 21, the 12th Judicial Circuit Court State Attorney’s Office charged Thrall with driving under the influence of alcohol.
He also was ticketed for failing to stay in a single lane and, on Dec. 22, Thrall’s attorney asked to consolidate the two charges.
His arraignment is set for Jan. 11, 2016, at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
