For the second time in two months, a 36-year-old Holmes Beach woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Michol Marie Bugel was arrested by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at 5:59 p.m. Dec. 18 in the driveway of a northwest Bradenton residence.
Called to the address for a trespass matter, a sheriff’s deputy observed Bugel behind the wheel of a car with its motor running, according to the MCSO report.
After approaching her about the trespass, the deputy reported signs of impairment. Bugel refused to take field sobriety tests or give a breath sample, according to the report.
Bugel had been arrested for DUI in October 2015, posted bond and was released. The prosecutor issued a formal DUI charge in November and, in December, filed to revoke her bond due to the second DUI arrest.
At press time, Bugel was being held in Manatee County jail on $7,500 bond.
In the first case, Bugel’s court appearance was set for Jan. 5. Her arraignment for the second DUI charge will be Jan. 20 at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
