A woman wearing a red wig and fishnet stockings who threatened to stab a Cortez man in April 2015 was sentenced to 20.1 months in the Florida Department of Corrections.
Selina Sinner, 26, formerly of North Port and Palmetto, was sentenced Jan. 7 by 12th Judicial Circuit Judge Susan Malucci.
Following Sinner’s no-contest plea in December, Malucci found her guilty of aggravated assault, two counts of battery on law enforcement officers and counts of possessing a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
Sinner was arrested by Manatee County Sheriff’s deputies. She kicked and spat on them in the 12000 block of Cortez Road West after she assaulted the man in his front yard on 124th Street West.
In August, Sinner was re-arrested on a warrant for failing to attend court hearings and remained in Manatee County jail until her sentencing.
In her sentence, Malucci credited Sinner for time served.
