Bradenton woman pleads guilty to DUI, no license

A woman arrested at the Manatee Public Beach after witnesses saw her crossing the center line and driving off the road was sentenced to 12 months probation.

Rosmery Gonzalez, 25, pleaded guilty Jan. 11 to second-degree misdemeanors of driving under the influence and driving without a license.

Twelfth Judicial Circuit Judge Doug Henderson ordered Gonzalez’s probation and suspended her ability to obtain to a driver’s license for six months and ordered an alcohol-detection device in her vehicle for 11 months.

HBPD officers who encountered Gonzalez in December reported signs of her impairment and a dog in her vehicle, which was taken the next day by Manatee County Animal Services.

As part of Gonzalez’s probation, she is required to complete a DUI program, a substance evaluation and treatment, if deemed necessary, and 50 hours of public service. She also was ordered to pay $1,426 in court costs and fines.
