Voter registration for the presidential preference primary closes Tuesday, Feb. 16.
The primary will be held Tuesday, March 15.
Early voting in the election will begin Saturday, March 5, and end Saturday, March 12. The nearest early voting location to Anna Maria Island is the West Manatee Fire Rescue administration building, 6417 Third Ave. W., Bradenton.
Other dates on the 2016 election calendar:
• Primary election, Tuesday, Aug. 30. The last day to register to vote will be Aug. 1.
• General election, Tuesday, Nov. 8. The last day to register to vote will be Oct. 11.
