A Bradenton Beach code enforcement officer contacted Manatee County Jan. 26 about the downed tree, which lies in the county’s dune restoration area. The county property management department went out Jan. 27 to remove the tree. Staff reported the tree was cut down by an unknown person. It was the second tree within weeks in the same area to be cut by vandals.
