A Bradenton man was arrested for driving under the influence and possessing marijuana after being stopped for allegedly speeding in Holmes Beach.
Joshua Drawdy, 25, was pulled over as he drove southbound on Gulf Drive at 1:40 a.m. March 25. Holmes Beach Police Officer Alan Bores reported clocking the driver traveling 43 mph in a 25-mph zone.
Bores stopped Drawdy near 47th Street and Gulf Drive and, when asked how much alcohol he’d consumed, Drawdy allegedly replied, “Four beers.”
During a search, Bores reported finding marijuana weighing 10.9 grams — one bag in Drawdy’s pocket and two bags in his shoe, according to the HBPD report.
Drawdy was transported to Manatee County jail where he provided two breath samples measuring 0.117 and 0.112 blood alcohol content. The legal limit is 0.08.
He posted $1,000 bond and was released.
Counsel for Drawdy filed a not guilty plea.
Drawdy’s arraignment is set for at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
