A 23-year-old Bradenton man was arrested for driving a pickup on a suspended license and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
Sawed-off or short-barrel shotguns are illegal in Florida.
Christopher Raible was observed traveling west on Manatee Avenue by Holmes Beach Police Officer Mike Walker after receipt of information about Raible’s tag at 5:40 a.m. March 26.
Walker stopped the pickup and Raible handed him a suspended driver’s license, according to the police report.
Police allegedly found the shotgun on the truck’s backseat and ammunition scattered inside the vehicle.
Raible was arrested on felony charges for DWLS as a habitual offender and possession of the illegal shotgun.
He was transported to Manatee County jail, posted $9,000 in bonds and was released.
Raible previously entered a deferred prosecution agreement with the state that stemmed from a September 2015 arrest for a suspended license.
Raible’s arraignment is set for at 9 a.m. Friday, April 29, in the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
