Anna Maria

July 31, 70 block of North Shore Drive, theft. A pink bicycle with lime green wheels was stolen from a yard. Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach units were notified.

Aug. 7, 300 block of Magnolia Avenue, domestic disturbance. A juvenile argued with her parents about her cellphone. When Manatee County sheriff’s deputies arrived, they determined there’d been no signs of a physical alteration.

Bradenton Beach

Aug. 5, Beach House Restaurant, 200 block of Gulf Drive N., disorderly intoxication. A 29-year-old homeless and intoxicated woman was arrested after throwing food at an employee outside the restaurant. She was reported to have been yelling for food, but when an employee brought pizza to the woman, she threw it at the employee.

Aug. 5, 2100 block of Avenue B. A woman reported she was possibly drugged after work and lost her memory for hours.

Bradenton Beach is policed by the Bradenton Beach Police Department.

 

Cortez

July 25, 12500 block of Cortez Road West, information. Sarasota County sheriff’s office reported a battery after a night of intoxication. No charges were filed.

Aug. 5, 12000 block of Baypointe Terrace, theft. A license plate was stolen off a motor vehicle.

Aug. 5, Beach Veterinary Clinic, 4404 124th St., heroin overdose. A 24-year-old Sarasota woman was found unconscious in the clinic bathroom. EMS administered emergency treatment and she became responsive. She was transported to Blake Medical Center.

Holmes Beach

July 30, Publix Super Market, theft. Theft of unknown items was reported by a manager, who provided store video of a man in flip-flops leaving the store without paying.

July 31, 100 block of 30th Street, criminal mischief. Broken glass in a vehicle’s rear window was reported near the beach access. Police believe someone backed into the vehicle with kayaks or ladders, causing the windows to shatter.

Aug. 3, Haley’s Motel, 8102 Gulf Drive, criminal mischief. An employee reported damage and items moved during the night. Plastic tables were broken. Chairs around the pool were found stacked in a bathroom. A fan from the bathroom wall had been thrown in the toilet. A window screen was damaged. Toilet paper was found in the pool.

Aug. 5, 3600 block of East Bay Drive, warrant. A man who missed a court date was arrested and turned over to a Manatee County warrants’ detective.

Aug. 8, 7900 block of Gulf Drive, warrant. A 54-year-old woman was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.
