A Florida Department of Law Enforcement bulletin announced a sex offender had moved to the Cortez area.
A 62-year-old male offender registered a permanent address change to the 4500 block of 106th Street West, Bradenton, according to an Aug. 18 FDLE news release.
The man was convicted in Manatee County of kidnapping and sexual battery in 1989 and, in 2008, for failure to register as a sex offender in Sarasota and Hillsborough counties.
The FDLE registry also lists the following sex offenders in the area:
• A 56-year-old male offender in the 2700 block of Avenue C in Holmes Beach.
• A 34-year-old male offender in the 2500 block of Avenue C in Bradenton Beach.
• A 58-year-old male offender in the 100 block of Ninth Street North in Bradenton Beach.
• A 54-year-old male offender in the 4200 block of the 129th Street West in Cortez.
