Holmes Beach police arrested a 40-year-old man who alerted police he’d stolen two television sets.

Michael P. Farmer of Bradenton was arrested Sept. 11 after he allegedly confessed to stealing two 40-inch Westinghouse television sets from a residence he worked at in the 300 block of Clark Drive.

Police say he sold the sets online without the owner’s consent.

HBPD recommended a second-degree felony charge for the alleged burglary to the unoccupied residence.

At a Sept. 12 court appearance, he was assigned a $5,000 bond and appointed a public defender. The judge also ordered he not return to the property.

At press time, he remains in the Manatee County jail.

Farmer’s arraignment is set for 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
