Failure to drive within a single lane tipped off Holmes Beach police to a tipsy motorist.

Alicia Moore, 30, of Cortez, was arrested at 2:18 a.m. Aug. 26 for driving under the influence after being stopped for a traffic violation in the 3200 block of Gulf Drive.

HBPD Officer Alan Bores performed field sobriety tests and noted signs of impairment.

According to the Bores’ report, Moore told the officer she was coming from a bar in Bradenton where she had “two shots and a beer.”

Bores transported Moore to Manatee County jail where she provided two breath samples, measuring 0.234 and 0.244 blood-alcohol content. The legal limit is 0.08.

Bores also ticketed her for failing to drive in a single lane and a suspended license.

At her first court appearance, Moore was released on court supervision.

Moore’s arraignment is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 30 at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave., W., Bradenton.
