Aug. 27, 200 block of Willow Avenue, domestic disturbance. A couple was reported arguing, but there were no signs of physical violence. The man left and the woman became concerned about his safety. He was found to be OK.
Aug. 28, 100 block of Spring Avenue, information. A moped tag was confiscated.

Bradenton Beach
Aug. 27, Drift Inn, 120 Bridge St., battery. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reported an argument escalated to one person hitting another in the face. The couple left the area. No arrest was reported.

Cortez
Aug. 28, 4500 block of 124th Street West, intoxication. An MCSO deputy responded to a report of an intoxicated man on a dock near A.P. Bell Fish Co. and found a man in his underwear. A woman reported finding him on her back porch and asked how he would get home. The man replied he would walk home, which was several miles away. The officer transported the man to Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton.

Holmes Beach
Aug. 29, Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe, 4000 Gulf Drive, trespass/alcohol. A Holmes Beach police officer observed three people sitting at a table at 11:25 p.m., after the beach and restaurant had closed. One man observed drinking a beer was issued a citation for violating the city ordinance against alcohol on the beach. All three were issued trespass warnings.
Aug. 31, 400 block of Bay Palms Drive, burglary. An empty bottle of bourbon — and an overwhelming smell of bourbon — was reported at a residence after a break-in. A $400 computer and a set of keys were reported missing. The bottle was seized as evidence.
Sept. 1, 100 block of 53rd Street, alcohol. Police responded to a report of a man drinking on the beach and pulling up sea turtle nest markers. The officer ticketed the man for an alcohol violation and warned him of the laws against tampering with turtle nests.
Sept. 2, 100 block of 50th Street, noise violation. Police responded to loud party at a vacation rental, attended by about 50 people. An officer ticketed the renter and referred the matter to code enforcement. The renter told police he had arrived at the residence about two hours earlier.
