Oct. 31, Bayfront Park, 316 N. Bay Blvd., trespass. A man was issued a trespass warning for sleeping in a wooded area. He told a Manatee County sheriff’s deputy he missed a trolley to Bradenton Beach, where he sometimes lives on a boat, so he decided to sleep on the beach. After the warning was issued, the man packed up his belongings and departed.
Nov. 9, 100 block of Willow Ave., information. A Manatee County sheriff’s deputy was summoned to take a report about a child-related incident the day prior at the city election polling place, Roser Memorial Community Church, 512 Pine Ave.

Bradenton Beach
Nov. 11, Sports Lounge, 118 Bridge St., lewd and lascivious/resisting arrest/trespass warnings. After speaking to a bartender, who asked that a man be trespassed, a Bradenton Beach police officer found the man outside the building engaged in sexual activity with another man. An officer yelled for the men to stop, but they ran. The officer apprehended them after a chase. Two additional officers were called to the scene and issued trespass warnings to both men. They were arrested and transported to the Manatee County jail.
Nov. 13, 100 block of Bridge Street, Marchman Act. Police took a 54-year-old intoxicated man into custody after advising him he couldn’t sleep on city property. The man then moved from one bench to another and passed out. The BBPD transported the man to a medical center under the act, which requires law enforcement and hospitals to provide for the safety, assessment and stabilization of substance abusers.

Cortez
Nov. 7, Cortez Kitchen, 4528 119th St. W., vehicle theft. A tag was stolen while the vehicle’s owner attended the Cortez Stone Crab Festival. The MCSO entered the stolen tag into a law enforcement database.
