Jan. 9, 100 block of Spring Ave., information. Damage to a fence bordering a parking lot was reported.
Jan. 13, 100 block of Tuna, suspicious incident. A woman reported a screen was pulled from a side door. A Manatee County deputy responded and determined there was no forced entry.

Bradenton Beach
Jan. 1, Drift Inn, 120 Bridge St., theft. After a woman picked up her car — towed from Bridge Street to a Manatee County location — she determined it had been ransacked. She claimed $210 was taken from the center console.
Jan. 12, Bridge Street and Gulf Drive, property damage. On patrol, a Bradenton Beach officer found a traffic sign on a 6-foot pole bent and knocked down. The officer reported the damage to the dispatcher, who forwarded the report to the Florida Department of Transportation, which sent a crew to replace the sign.
Jan. 12, 200 block of Bay Drive, domestic battery. A Bradenton Beach officer responded to a woman who was hit in the face by her boyfriend. She had called earlier about the incident but at first declined to press charges. After the second call, she signed an affidavit. The 51-year-old man was arrested and transported to jail.

Cortez
Jan. 6, 12400 block of Baypointe Terrace, fraud. A woman reported an unknown person opened a credit card in her name without her consent.
Cortez is policed by the MCSO.
Holmes Beach
Jan. 13, 5000 block of Gulf Drive, criminal mischief. A woman reported a wiper on her vehicle was damaged.
Jan. 14, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, alcohol violation/trespass. On patrol, an officer observed a 56-year-old man sitting on a picnic table drinking beer in violation of a city ordinance. The officer issued the man a notice to appear in court for the alcohol violation and warned for trespassing.
Jan. 14, 300 block of 55th Street, noise violation. At 10:45 p.m., police responded to call that reported loud yelling, screaming and laughter from the residence. Officers heard the noise, knocked on the door and told the renter it was a noise violation.
Jan. 16, La Casa Costiera, 7300 Gulf Drive, theft. A battery backup unit was found missing from a garage.
Jan. 16, 5000 Gulf and the beach, alcohol violation. Six males were cited with an ordinance violation after officers observed them drinking beer. The officers had initially responded to a report of people throwing beer bottles or cans from a truck.
