James Robert “Jim” Bickal died Oct. 20.
He was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Fort Defiance, Arizona. In 1965, he moved his family to Holmes Beach from Denver.
He lived in Holmes Beach for 52 years and worked on the island for 30 years as an interior-exterior painter.
A private service will be held.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children Laurie and husband Jim Ferrara, Sherry and Mark; grandchildren Tori and husband Jerry, TJ and wife Denise, Tyson, Stevie and husband Brandon and Summer; and seven great-grandchildren.
