Voter registration reopened in Manatee County following the Aug. 18 primary.
The Manatee County Supervisor of Elections Office is handling requests to vote by mail in the Nov. 3 general election.
The supervisor’s office also is lining up poll workers for Election Day. There are five types of poll workers: certified clerk, certified assistant clerk, certified tabulator inspector, certified ballot inspector and election deputy.

Island Democrats organizing
The AMI/West Manatee Democratic Club was organizing to join “sign-and-wave” events Saturdays starting at 9:30 a.m. to campaign for presidential nominee Joe Biden and running-mate Kamala Harris.
Participants are meeting at the Orange Blossom Shopping Center, 435 Cortez Road W., Bradenton.
Vehicle parades also are being planned.
