School district keeps protocols, procedures

The School District of Manatee County issued a statement to parents and employees Sept. 25, after the governor announced the state shifted into phase 3 of reopening.

The district stated:

“We want you to know that all school district protocols and procedures instituted this school year regarding COVID-19 will remain in place until further notice.

“Those protocols and procedures include taking temperatures, wearing masks, asking symptom-related questions of all students and staff, limiting access to our campuses and cleaning and sanitizing our campuses daily.”

The school board is scheduled to meet for a workshop Thursday, Oct. 8.

The statement indicated board members would “discuss protocols and procedures for the remainder of the school year.”
