Oct. 9, 200 block of Willow Avenue, lost property. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office took a report that a resident’s trash can, valued at $60, went missing sometime in the past few months.

Oct. 9, 500 block of South Bay Boulevard, Marchman Act.

Oct. 10, 400 block of Pine Avenue, vandalism. The MCSO responded to a report of vandalism — someone broke the glass in the rear window of a rental car. A deputy reported the window bowed out, as if it was broken from inside the vehicle.

Oct. 10, 700 block of Jacaranda, disturbance. The MCSO responded to a verbal disturbance between intoxicated individuals at a wedding reception.

Bradenton Beach

Oct. 8, Coquina South Boat Ramp, 2651 Gulf Drive S., assistance. A man called the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office from Coquina Beach to report that his son was stung by a jellyfish and was suffering an allergic reaction. Manatee County Emergency Medical Services arrived and transported the boy to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton.

Oct. 11, Anna Maria Island Club condominiums, 2600 Gulf Drive N., larceny. A man called the Bradenton Beach Police Department to report that his locked bicycle was stolen. The man said he was working with the condo association to access security camera footage, which he planned to provide to the BBPD.

Oct. 14, Historic Bridge Street Pier, 200 Bridge St., trespass. A patrolling BBPD officer noticed a man drinking an alcoholic beverage on the pier, so he advised him to leave the premises. The man was later found sleeping on the pier with an open container of alcohol, and the officer trespassed him from the property.

Oct. 14, 200 block of Gulf Drive N., larceny. A man called the BBPD to report that his locked bicycle was stolen from a city-owned bike rack. He told officers he left his bike there while at the beach. An officer issued the man a case number and entered the bike’s serial number into the databases.

Holmes Beach

Oct. 10, 700 Manatee Avenue West, marijuana. A Holmes Beach police officer observed a motorist run a flashing red light. Upon stopping the driver, the officer saw a vial with marijuana in the console. The motorist also turned over a plastic bag of marijuana to the officer. The driver was cited for possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.

Oct. 11, Anchor Inn, 3007 Gulf Drive, battery. An HBPD officer was called to a fight at the bar. The fight had ended when the officer arrived. Witness statements were taken. The alleged victim planned to give a statement at the police station the following day.

Oct. 12, 3800 block of East Bay Drive, theft. A person reported a locked bike and bike lock stolen from a carport.

Oct. 13, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, trespass. An officer observed two people sleeping on a picnic table and trespassed them from the public beach for a year.

Oct. 14, 4600 block of Gulf Drive, Marchman Act. An officer was called to a residence about a fight. Witnesses reported a physical altercation. Emergency management services was called and the individual was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton.
