A Bradenton woman was arrested Oct. 30 for driving under the influence of alcohol and drug possession in Holmes Beach.
Heather Falton, 41, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Manatee Avenue West by Holmes Beach police officers.
According to the HBPD report, an officer
observed Falton traveling 56 mph in a 35 mph zone, headed westbound on Manatee Avenue West. The officer stopped the motorist and reported she could not provide proof of insurance and appeared lethargic.
Falton failed the field test and blew 0.286 and 0.279 on two Breathalyzer tests. The legal limit is 0.08.
Upon searching Falton’s purse, the officer found 10 Temazepam pills prescribed to someone else.
Falton was cited for speeding and no proof of insurance, and arrested for DUI and possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony.
She was transported to the Manatee County jail and released that next day on a $1,700 bond.
Falton’s arraignment was set for Dec. 4.
