The Anna Maria Island Privateers gather for sunset Jan. 23 to celebrate the life of Robert “Pirate Bob” Kenneth Boyd on the new Anna Maria City Pier. Pirate Bob’s wife of 51 years, Alwana, joined in the memorial that included accolades, testimonials, taps and a pistol firing.
