Holmes Beach Police officers and emergency responders March 3 pronounced Bradenton resident Tiffany Anne Williams, 39, dead after her body was recovered from the shoreline of the Gulf of Mexico.

A pair of joggers saw Williams’ body in the surf, pulled it to shore near 35th Street and called the police at 6:32 a.m., according to a news release from HBPD Detective Sgt. Brian Hall.

“We believe that it was a drowning,” HBPD Chief Bill Tokajer told The Islander. “We have not found any signs of foul play or trauma to the body at this time.”

The area was cordoned off for an investigation but reopened midday March 3.
