Feb. 17, 200 block of Palm Avenue, noise. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding loud noise. The deputy found no violation.

Feb. 17, 200 block of Oak Avenue, noise. The MCSO received a complaint regarding loud noise. The deputy found people celebrating by the pool who didn’t realize their noise level had raised. The deputy informed them of the city’s noise ordinance.

Feb. 17, 200 block of Magnolia Avenue, noise. The MCSO received a complaint regarding noise. The deputy found no violation.

Feb. 23, 600 block of North Shore Drive, intoxication. The MCSO received a complaint regarding an intoxicated person but the deputy found no one.

Holmes Beach

Feb. 18, 4200 block of Gulf Drive, no license. An officer from the Holmes Beach Police Department stopped a vehicle with a cracked windshield. The driver did not have a license and the officer issued a court summons.

Feb. 18, 4000 block of Gulf Drive, Marchman Act. An HBPD officer was dispatched in reference to a suspicious person sitting at a bus stop. The man was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and unable to take care of himself. The officer called for EMS and the man was transported to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for under the Marchman Act.

Feb. 18, 750 block of Manatee Avenue, suspended license. The HBPD received notification from the license plate recognition system that an unregistered vehicle entered the city. An officer located the vehicle and stopped the motorist, who had a suspended license, unregistered vehicle and a plate taken from another vehicle. The officer issued three citations and a court summons.

Feb. 19, 3900 block of Gulf Drive, driving without a license. A HBPD officer stopped a truck for speeding on Gulf Drive. The driver was cited for no license and received a warning for speeding.

Feb. 19, 4600 block of Gulf Drive, burglary. A person called HBPD to report a missing dumbbell set.

Feb. 19, 100 block of 47th Street, possession of marijuana. An HBPD officer noticed a motorist failing to comply with a stop sign. The officer stopped the motorist and noticed a scent of marijuana from the vehicle and asked if the driver had been smoking. The female driver admitted she was and handed the officer a marijuana cigarette. The officer issued her a city ordinance violation.
