In Southwest Florida for the week ending June 6, Karina brevis was observed at very low to low concentrations in Manatee County.
Also, the red tide organism was observed at very low to low concentrations in Hillsborough County, background concentrations in Sarasota County, background to very low concentrations in Charlotte County, background to low concentrations in and offshore of Lee County and very low to low concentrations in and offshore of Collier County.
Samples collected offshore of Pinellas and Monroe counties did not contain red tide.
