Voters headed to the polls Nov. 2 to decide several island contests.
In Bradenton Beach, incumbent John Chappie faced David Galuszka for mayor.
Chappie won with 69.45% of the votes.
In Holmes Beach, five people ran for three city commission seats — incumbents Terry Schaefer and Carol Soustek, former Commissioners Pat Morton and John Monetti and newcomer Renee Ferguson.
The top three vote-getters are Schaefer, 21.82%; Soustek, 21.22%; and Morton, 20.95%. Ferguson ran a close next at 20.25%, followed by Monetti at 15.76%.
Voters in Bradenton Beach also cast ballots on Amendment 1, deciding whether to eliminate term limits for elected city officials.
The vote was 48.09% yes and 51.91% no. So term limits stand.
In Holmes Beach, voters approved a proposal for a land swap involving the city and a private property owner. The vote yes was 69.64%.
Anna Maria did not have any city races to decide Nov. 2.
