Tape, stakes for turtle nests dot the shore

Sea turtle nests, marked with tape and stakes, stand out June 9 in Holmes Beach. The markers, placed by Anna Maria Island Turtle Watch and Shorebird Monitoring, protect sea turtle nests and assist the monitors who collect nesting data.
