‘No Swim’ advisory lifted for Palma Sola beach

The Florida Department of Health in Manatee County lifted a “no swim” advisory for the Palma Sola South beach along the Palma Sola Causeway on Manatee Avenue/State Road 64.

A notice had been issued July 1 and extended the week beginning July 4.

Other beaches located in Manatee County were not under an advisory.

The advisory indicated water contact might pose an increased risk of infectious diseases to humans.

Such advisories remain in effect until water meets U.S. Environmental Protection Agency safety guidelines.
