Walter ‘Wally’ Lawrence Jr.
Walter “Wally” Lawrence Jr., a 17-year resident of Bradenton, died March 31 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 26, 1960, in San Jose, California.
Before retirement, Mr. Lawrence was a talented carpenter with an eye for design. He created many beautiful spaces both indoors and out.
He attended Harvey Memorial Community Church in Bradenton Beach.
His greatest gifts were his loving heart, positivity, humor and colorful style. He adored his family and friends and never missed an opportunity to show his love for others through acts of service, a kind word, a special gift or a hug.
A celebration of life is being planned. Donations, “in Memory of Wally Lawrence,” may be sent to Harvey Church, PO Box 243, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217.
Mr. Lawrence is survived by his partner of 42 years and loving husband, Mike Fish; siblings Gloria Appleby, Susan Duarte, Cindy Dalton and Steve; many nieces and nephews; and his precious cat, Lola.
