Tackling improvements at Annie’s Bait & Tackle

Manatee County commissioners, during their March 4 meeting, are expected to review a presentation “of details and options to bring Annie’s Bait and Tackle Shop” at the Cortez Marina “up to code and enter a lease agreement.” The rendering shows potential improvements to the Cortez property that’s now county-owned. The property and others on the waterfront were damaged during Hurricanes Helene and Milton, prior to the December 2024 closing.
