April. 20, 120 Bridge St., Drift-In AMI, battery. Bradenton Beach police officers responded to a report of a battery. A security guard said he was struck in the face by a man after asking the man to leave. Police located the man at a bar across the street. After questioning, they placed the man under arrest and transported him to the Manatee County jail in Palmetto..

Holmes Beach

April 22, D. Coy Ducks, 5410 Marina Drive, disorderly intoxication. A Holmes Beach police officer found intoxicated people outside the bar. They became confrontational before leaving the property to wait for a ride. One tried instigating a fight and threatened the officer, then tried to leave on an electric bicycle. The officer told the person that riding the bike would amount to driving under the influence. The man appeared to leave but then was found crawling under a vehicle in an attempt to sneak up on the officer. After the man threatened the officer, tried to avoid arrest and refused to comply with a police order, he was tasered and taken into custody.

April 22, 5200 block of Gulf Drive, vehicle burglary. A man reported two iPads stolen from a work truck and provided serial numbers for both tablets.

April 26, 5300 block of Guava Street, domestic disturbance/battery. Two officers responded to reports of a domestic disturbance involving two sisters and found multiple people in a driveway. An officer spoke with a woman who appeared agitated. When her sister came out of the residence the two began yelling. They told police they had been fighting all week and things had boiled over that day and became physical. Neither sister filled out an affidavit or wanted to press charges. The officer later filed capias requests for both sisters.

April 27, 3900 block of East Bay Drive, alcohol/trespass. An officer found a man at a bus stop drinking beer, with another beer bottle next to him. A Publix store manager came out and said the man had stolen the beer. He did not want to press charges but asked the officer to issue the man a trespass warning. The officer issued the warning and a court summons for consuming alcohol in public to the man.
