Bradenton Beach
Oct. 25, 2200 block of Avenue B, fleeing the scene. A Bradenton Beach police officer was dispatched to reports of a vehicle leaving the scene of a crash. A complainant reported that a motorist fled after striking a mailbox and auto bumper. Officers located and arrested the alleged motorist, who was transported to the Manatee County jail in Palmetto. Holmes Beach
Oct. 21, Seabreeze Construction AMI, 5372 Gulf Drive, suspicious circumstances. A woman reported to the Holmes Beach Police Department that her company hired a contractor and provided them a company credit card. However, she said the contractor was no longer responding to attempts to contact them after spending almost $10,000 with the credit card.
Oct. 23, 7200 block of Gulf Drive, missing firearm. A visitor from Michigan reported that he brought a firearm with him to a vacation rental but noticed it missing when he was packing to leave. He provided a serial number for the missing firearm.
Oct. 26, 5600 block of Guava Street, suspicious circumstances. A homeowner reported that someone changed the locks at his property. An officer contacted the owner of a vehicle videotaped at the property and learned it was a rental. The renter was a property manager who told police that the house was being foreclosed, resulting in the lock change.
